Celebrating Binational Collaboration: The Bridge Accelerator Concludes its Ninth Generation
The Bridge Accelerator is a binational business program that, in partnership with Technology HUB, Pioneers 21 and Microsoft TechSpark through FUNAX, has been instrumental in fostering economic development by supporting companies in the Borderplex region. Since its inception, the program has helped more than 100 companies accelerate their growth, establish crucial business connections and secure significant investments.
"Bridge Accelerator continues to be a driver for binational business growth. We are incredibly proud of our ninth cohort, whose hard work and innovative ideas are a testament to the entrepreneurial talent in our region," commented Mayte Tarin, Program Manager of The Bridge Accelerator.
On July 11th, The Bridge Accelerator celebrated the successful completion of its ninth cohort of 21 companies during a Demo Day event. This event further solidified the program's impact on cross-border economic development. The participating companies, representing diverse sectors such as technology, sustainability, manufacturing and marketing, presented innovative solutions worked on during the program, addressing key challenges and opportunities in their respective industries.
"Demo Day is not just an event; it is a celebration of cross-border collaboration, vital to our economic future. The solutions presented today highlight the potential of Borderplex as a hub for innovation and industry," said Ricardo Mora, CEO of Technology HUB.
Each company had the opportunity to present their unique value propositions in a two-minute pitch. Following the presentations, the participating companies had one-on-one meetings with industry leaders, where Ferter's team was present as part of the investor group. These one-on-one sessions allowed them to engage in discussions, exchange views and evaluate potential collaboration opportunities.
New Discovery Agency was awarded the 'best pitch' award and the grand prize for overall performance, receiving $10,000 in seed capital for its proposal to use virtual and augmented reality for industry training and education courses.
As it concluded its ninth installment, The Bridge Accelerator reaffirmed its commitment to continue driving innovation and economic growth in the Borderplex region for generations to come.
